Tuttle is another favorite of mine, especiall...W.C. Tuttle is another favorite of mine, especially because of his Hashknife and Sleepy western detective stories. But I also like his Cultus Collin and Sad Sontag series in SHORT STORIES and WEST.<br /><br />I even like his slapstick comedy stories about the crazy citizens of Piperock. He must of been a big baseball fan because the Pacific Coast Baseball League was big stuff before the Major Leagues expanded out west. I've run across his funny drawings in The Campfire letter section of ADVENTURE.<br /><br />Robert Sampson in one of his YESTERDAY FACES volumes has an excellent chapter on the Hashknife series.
